VPFD Community Services

Your Valley Park firefighters and paramedics are not only there to answer the calls for emergency assistance. We offer several programs to promote safety within our community. Our personnel instruct CPR and First Aid classes, conduct fire station tours, and select personnel install child safety seats.  If you are interested in any of these programs or others that we offer, please feel free to click on the printable form below, to request one of our many services by mail or fax.

Child Safety Seat Installation

The Valley Park Fire District wants to make sure your kids are as safe as possible when traveling in your vehicle. With technology changing every day along with more and more brands of car seats and makes of vehicles being produced every year, it's hard to know which car seat is right for you and your child. We have at least one person on every shift that has taken an 8 hour class on car seat installation, so if you have any questions at all, or would like us to install your car seat for you just give us a call.

For installation though, we do ask that you call and make an appointment so that we can be sure one of our trained personnel is going to be there. In the event that no one is there when you show up, we are most likely on a call. In that case you might have to schedule another appointment. Please make sure you bring along the entire car seat, all it's components and any instruction manuals so that we can ensure a proper fit for your car seat. Contact us at 636-225-4288 to schedule an appointment.

CPR and First Aid

Valley Park Fire District offers CPR and first aid certification through The American Red Cross. Most of our classes are taught at the firehouse by appointment only. We will teach on location if it is a large enough group. There is no fee for residents of Valley Park, for non-residents it is $10 -$25 depending on which classes are requested. For more information or to schedule a class, call Deputy Chief Smith at 636-225-4288.
